Green stones are traditional but Rhodocrosite works best for me. For an alignment of all Chakras, China red quartz is my favorite. Probably because I feel such a strong connection to it.
My favorite book on stones is "Love is in the Earth: A Kaleidoscope of Crystals" by Melody. It is an excellent resource.

The colors of the heart chakra are greens, however not only emeralds but rose quartz are used for this important chakra.

I know some killer stones. They are called a 'placebo'. It works wonders, but you have to believe in it for it to work!! Good luck!
