i need to scan something onto my computer and send it to someone how do i do it?

turn on device. place document face down(image down) on to the flatbed. then press the scan button, or if you have HP press the black or color button depending on what option you want. then open up the scanner program(usually its the company of your printer's picture gallery) go to edit images, find the image, save as. then go to ur email and attach that file you just saved. send.

Most of the scanners have a software. You need to install that software and scan it. Read the instruction manual.

put the document in the scanner with the side you want to scan facing down. Press the scan button, the scanning program opens and then press scan. when done, go to file, save as and save it. When saved, go to your e-mail, compose and attach file, browse, find the file, select it and open it. Attach file. Send.

You open the scanner software, put a picture in the scanner, scan it, save it somewhere and then send it
