Before you answer, consider the following:
We are not talking about the "errors" in the Bible, or any OTHER book than the Koran here.
Muslims say the Bible cannot be the word of God, because it contains errors. They DO NOT apply the same standard to the Koran.
Now, Muslims, I ask you:
Are the stars lamps in the lowest sky, which guard against evil spirits?
[67.5] And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and made them missiles for the Satans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning.
Stars are not lamps. They are stars, just like our sun, and they are not in the lowest heaven. Is the sun a lamp too?
***
Are mountains made to prevent earthquakes?
[16:15] And He has set firm mountains in the earth so it would not shake with you
Mountains do not hold the earth steady.
***
Big Bang:
21:30-31 says Heaven and Earth were as one, then separated.
41.11 says Heaven and Earth sere seperate, then came together.
See now?

hey johnbntexas and Gungnir, PLEASE take a reading comprehension course. You're changing the subject when you mention the Bible, or ANY OTHER BOOK.
I repeat...we're talking about the Koran. That's the Koran. Understand? Koran. Oh, did I mention Koran? Let's focus on the Koran. Koran is the topic. Koran. Once more...Koran. Get it now?

Taimur has answered your "question". There are NO contradictions in the Quran (please note the correct spelling by the way...).
Lamps give light....stars also do. It is perfectly reasonable to refer to a star as a lamp.
"Adorned the lowest heaven" refers to- adorned because the sky looks beautiful when the stars are out and God has decorated (adorned) the sky in this way. Lowest heaven refers to the seven heavens (there are seven layers around the earth). FYI in Islam, the opposite of Hell is Paradise not "heaven" so dont confuse the two. And mountains and Big Bang comment, Taimur has explained.
If you really are confused (and this isnt anti-islamic propaganda, which i suspect it IS) then look at www.islam-guide.com.
The three examples you gave are all scientific comments from the Quran. No offence but you're not a scientist -however some of the most eminent scientists in the world have become Muslims due to the Quran. If you had any basic scientific knowledge (i burst into laughter when i read how you wrote "mountains do not hold the earth steady".....actually they do! pick up a textbook or two...) you would know that these comments are in keeping with science as we know it today. Islam is the ONLY religion which supports science and does not contradict it. THERE ARE NO ERRORS IN THE QURAN and i challenge you to find any actual errors- not just things you read but couldnt understand!!

First of all, this sounds more like an attack than a genuine search for the truth. And if it IS the former, then you've already got preconceptions and I'm afraid that it matters little what anybody says, you'll still believe whatever you want to.
Secondly: What are these verses "contradicting"?, You? Your half-wit conclusions? You're hardly an authority on the workings of the universe.
Thirdly, look up the meaning of the word analogy, use an encyclopedia, or a dictionary, or something, your brain with only further lead you astray.
Lastly, this is all I'm gonna say, cos I think I'd be wasting my time trying to explain the meaning (although it is quite clear) of these verses to you. But if you are serious about learning the TRUTH, and not just arguing for the sake of it, contact me, I'd be happy to explain.

DONT QUOTE HALF VERSES. I know why you are not trying to discuss the bible.
===========================
NOW LISTEN CAREFULLY AND STOP BOASTING.
This verse of Quran refers to big bang.
"Do those who are disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were sewn together and then We unstitched them and that We made from water every living thing? So will they not have faith?" ([Qur'an 21:30]:
the other one which you posted is this one
God said in the Qur'an:Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience."
[Qur'an 41:11]
================
The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of 'smoke' (i.e. an opaque highly dense and hot gaseous composition).
===========
the galaxies were made when these smoke come together.

YES MOUNTAINS PREVENTS FROM SHAKING THE EARTH. BECAUSE IT HAS DEEP ROOTS . WHICH ACTS LIKE A TENT PEGS.
A book entitled Earth is a basic reference textbook in many universities around the world. One of its two authors is Professor Emeritus Frank Press. He was the Science Advisor to former US President Jimmy Carter, and for 12 years was the President of the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC. His book says that mountains have underlying roots. These roots are deeply embedded in the ground, thus, mountains have a shape like a peg
Modern geology has confirmed the truth of the Quranic verses.
refer to >>>> Figure 9: Another illustration shows how the mountains are peg-like in shape, due to their deep roots. (Earth Science, Tarbuck and Lutgens, p. 158.)
===================
yes,, stars are like lamps . and the purpose of lamp is to give light. and stars burns and gives light.

It is written in sacred (Bible) scriptures: “Do not believe every inspired utterance, but test the utterances to see whether they come from God, for many false prophets have come out into the world.” (1 John 4:1; AT, NWT)
We bear in mind Paul’s words at Galatians 1:8: “Even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond what we declared to you as good news, let him be accursed.”
Points t to consider:
Is the information before us different from what we have been taught through “the faithful and discreet slave”? Is the person spreading that message speaking to honor the name of Jehovah, or is he trying to exalt himself? Is the information in harmony with the overall teachings of the Bible? These are questions that will help us in ‘testing’ anything that may sound questionable. We are admonished to “make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine.”—Matthew 24:45; 1 Thessalonians 5:21.

As with any other religious text, the basic idea of these is to be a guide in living your life a certain way. People that strictly believe that writings in their particular religious texts are divine, or from God, are forgetting that over hundreds or thousands of years (even a few years realistically), things get mistranslated, misinterpreted, and the actual language that is used in the original texts changes as well.
Regardless of whether any book is "from God," the meaning of the book is what matters, not where it came from or who wrote it. If it makes your life better, then it has served its purpose.

Like the BIBLE the Koran was translated by a AAAGGGGGHHH, HUMAN, which in and of itself would render that it may be biased or even,GOD Forgive ME, self serving! Since the beginning of time, I don't care whose "BIG BEN" you go by man has attempted to twist, mediate, speak for, manipulate with the WORD OF GOD! We can all agree, know I guess we can't, we should all agree on this fact, TEN BIG RULES where given to follow and WE ALL STAND ALONE ON JUDGMENT DAY! BIG BANG THAT!

The "errors" that you speak of are those present in nearly any religious book. They are not contradictions, but rather each one is meant to be read with a deeper, symbolical, meaning. If everything was read literally then it would be obvious that all the religions are false, but if you study what they actually mean that is where enlightenment can be found.

I think that there are far more reasons that suggest that islam is a big CROCK OF SH|T than these examples. But if it is coming from their own mouth that certainly if they believe the word of god then surely they must consider that the koran is nothing more than a role of toilet paper best suited for absorbing PIGS BLOOD!!!
Who the he|| decapitates a man with a dull knife on camera in the name of their FALSE PROFIT!!!

Muslums are followers of garbage. If it was really that great of a religion they wouldn't be living in huts in the middle of the desert while they have enought money to buy the rest of the world 10x over in the form of oil.
