Look back into your Ancestry! Your family wasn't just plopped onto U.S. soil, they came here! They traveled here from Spain, England, France, Germany, Canada, Asia, India, Africa, Mexico, etc... If you want to stop illegal immigration, do it. But STOP being so damn racist! Do you even hear what comes out of your mouth sometimes? What would your ancestors say if they heard you?

What would the U.S. be without these immigrants!? >> Gloria Estefan, Michael J. Fox, Andy Garcia, Bob Hope, Angela Lansbury, Carlos Santana, Arnold Schwarzenegger (GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA), William Shatner, Gene Simmons (KISS), Elizabeth Taylor, Alex Trebek (JEAPORDY), Eddie Van Halen, Neil Young, Madeleine Albright, Oscar de la Renta, Sammy Sosa, Albert Einstein, Bela Lugosi, John Muir, and others...

Had they not had a chance to come to America & better themselves, who would they be? Do you even think we would be America without immigrants? Would be as succesful as we are today? Think about that!

Luekas, Obviously you did NOT read my entire question. I said that if you want to stop it, by all means do. I'm referring to ignorant people who feel they have to make racist remarks! Moron!

Had it NOT been for immigrants (YOUR ancestors), WE would NOT be in America!

2006-08-02 09:51:11 · update #4

WOW! That is soo sad and pathetic, that so far, not one person has come up with a decent response to this.

I am referring to people who are making racist remarks against immigrants. NOT people who are against illegal-immigration.

READ THE WHOLE QUESTION BEFORE YOU ANSWER, SO YOU DON'T MAKE YOURSELF LOOK STUPID!

2006-08-02 09:54:06 · update #5

Boredstiff, I completely agree with what you are saying. Thank you!

I don't think anyone should be here illegally, BUT that people should stop being hateful towards all immigrants, Hispanics, and Mexicans.

2006-08-02 09:57:13 · update #6

bekkiboo30, NOT once have I ever stated that I hate America, or Americans. Just because a few idiots feel the need to insult others, doesn't mean we all feel the same.

As I said before, I agree that immigrants who want to reside here should do it the correct way. You won't here any arguments from me there!

2006-08-02 10:01:51 · update #7

I_know_not_why_? You are NOT "ignorant". I agree with you as well, BUT I wish you lot would read the entire question before responding.

2006-08-02 10:10:07 · update #8

sdo4tnr, I read your entire response, and not once did I say that anyone owed me anything!

As I keep on stating... I am referring to people who make racist remarks against ALL Immigrants, Hispanics, & Mexicans.

I do NOT agree that anyone should be here illegally!

WHEN ARE YOU PEOPLE GOING TO READ AN ENTIRE QUESTION BEFORE POSTING YOUR STUPID RESPONSES!?

Are YOU making racist remarks? Are YOU the ones calling us ALL wetbacks, and saying that ALL Mexicans are filthy criminals, and that we breed like rats!?

If you are, then this question is directed to you.

If NOT, you are just giving a pointless answer that I have heard many times before. I don' t give a damn if you people want to STOP illegal immigration. More power to you!

I am NOT pro-illegal! I am anti-racist! Nor am I saying that anti-illegals are racist. LISTEN before you SPEAK!

2006-08-02 10:40:03 · update #9

I'm not even going to respond to people anymore who are NOT reading my entire question.

STOP wasting my time!

I agree with you. Most people are just using these current events as an excuse to call others racist names. It all started when they passed that dumb immigration bill. And you forgot Jim Carey (canada). :)

Well until people like you get the picture we will have to keep spelling it out for you! It is not immigration we hate it is ILLEGAL immigration. As in against the law. There is a HUGE difference. It is not fair that some people have to work their butts off to earn citizenship while others can just come on over and settle down. I am not an immigrant my ancestors where. Do you hear what comes out of your mouth? Moron. If Americans were really that racist we would ban immigration to the US all together.

Aw sorry my response didn't meet your standards. You'll get over it. You really shouldn't add details to your question every 5 seconds. It is called an email address. Next time try that if you want to say something to someone.

I am not an immigrant...
Niether were my parents, or thiers...
Four generations of my family, more than 100 years, have been natural citizens, my great grandfather on my mothers side was blackfoot indian if that helps any.
The generations of family before that came from Ireland, Italy and Germany, the link provided was the 1st sight they saw, and since then my family has been raised with respect for Liberty and Freedom and America.
My Greatgrandfather fought in WWI, my Grandfather served in WWII, my Father...Vietnam, my Uncle... Korea, some of my family had served to liberate Kuwait and now i have immidiate family serving in Iraq....
They all commited thier lives to this country for one reason, to defend liberty, and keep the world as free a place for ALL people!
The idea that you think you are owed anything in this country is absurd and i would appreciate it if you would at least make an attempt at intelligent discussion before you try call anyone racist because they believe in upholding the laws of this country.
I am trying very hard not be beligerent when i saw this so listen well.....
If my ancestors knew what These illegal immagrants were doing to the country they fought so hard to protect they would stand up and arm themselves to protect this great land....
They would not have the compassion and restraint that most Americans show today, in putting up with the DISRESPECT that these people have show to the whole nation...THE WHOLE FREE WORLD.
Then they parade and hold up signs and throw out accusations of racism, like spitting in the face of liberty
THINK ABOUT THAT!

Well, all I seem to hear lately on this forum is how the people from Mexico hate the United States and all the "hillbillies and rednecks" who reside here. Yeah, and who's racist? Get real. It goes both ways. If they hate America so much then they have no business being here and they better just stay in Mexico where they belong. If they want to live here and can respect the United States, more power to them, but do it the right way -- legally.

I'm an American -- I was BORN here. I'm legal.

I was born in California, but my father's family came to this country from Ireland in 1790 and my mother's family came here from Germany in 1640. My mother's family was here for the birth of this nation, and therefore were not immigrants. My father's family missed it by 14 years. Therefore, only 1/2 of me is derived from immigrants, and that half has been so diluted over the course of 216 years that I am only really .09% immigrant. I say let people come, but they have to follow the law.

As far as I'm aware, all the people you quoted were LEGAL immigrants ... and I've yet to see anyone on this board being against legal immigration ... it's the illegal aspect that bothers people, myself included ... if these people could take the time to fill in a few forms, why can't everybody do the same??

I am not but my forefathers were. Many of these previous immigrants were perscuted also. Look at Irish and Italian slums at the begining of the last century. It is just the Latinos turn to bear the brunt of it. Next it will Chinese, Indians or someone else.

I agree with you.But i also agree how some people are angered by the fact that they are coming here illegally. But what pisses me off is that they use this whole illegal immigration crap to insult and say racist things.Which is NOT ok.

ILLEGAL is very different from LEGAL. Not all immigrants are illegal. The illegal ones need to go home and get in line to come here..... do it the right way.
