I have the same problem. My hair is so thick that it won't curl. Perms last about a day... For my Junior Prom I wanted long curls, they had to use 2 bottles of hair spray and if you tried they would probably snap off cause they were so stiff... it was uncomfortable. So senior year I had my hair straight and but curled ribbon in it. Everyone loved it.

I have before taken my hair and twisted it all up in little strands, bobby pined them to my head and then like 3 hours later let them down and it stayed curled for a while

Wash her hair and wait one day for the natural oils to build up in her hair. Evenly apply mouse to the hair and comb it through. Then curl it. Spray with a hairspray. Style as desired. Spray again. It's a pain, but for baby fine hair on kids, it's about the only way to get it to hold.

Happens to me too. It is just the weight of your hair. If your using curlers make sure to put either gel or mouse in it before you go to bed. Thoes worked the best for me.

Irons never worked no matter what I ever did. Nor did hot curlers. You need to put so much junk in it to make it stay. Only suggestion if she is that gung-hoe is a perm ... which will ruin the hair.

My hair is the same way - first of all, make sure to use a spray-on gel beforehand that has strong hold. Afterwards, use strong hold hairspray. If that doesn't work, go to a professional hair salon to have it done and ask for suggestions.

if her hair is fine sometimes hair just doesn't hold it, you might need to get some product to use in it to help keep it, i used to have the same problem when i was younger it sucks i know just keep trying new things, something that will get the hair less silky so it will hold it!

it depends on the type of hair. if she has thin straight hair, it prob wont stay curly for very long. look for a good gel. i use garnier futicis. i have friends w/ straight hair that have the same prob.

Try a stronger gel. Maybe she's not holding the tongs long enough? Maybe they aren't hot enough?

cause your hair is really light and you need to use Lot of hair spray just to hold them up or its gonna fall over and over again.
