This is not a question about the idea of "bible codes" in general ...

I am soliciting opinions about the so-called codes listed at this particular website:

http://www.exodus2006.com/3code.htm

Here you'll find everything from "Bush is the beast 666!" and "USA is Babylon 666" to a prediction that Laura Bush will be murdered some night in 2010 and "August 4 2006 - Day of the Sign".

Personally I give zero credence to this bible code business, but at the same time it's not without a certain kind of 'Rorschach inkblot' weirdness that's sort of amusing...

It is all speculation and metaphor. It carries as much weight as my ex-husbands faithfulness (he cheated on me). I wouldn't believe any of it. It is made for the fatalist fundementalists of christianity.

I wont say I dont believe in Bible codes, I do in some ways,.. I believe the scriptures all have deeper meanings however, most Bible codes tell a completely different story than the Bible does, so I dont believe them because then only a tiny handful of people would ever know the Truth and that's not what God intended. If the written text says one thing, the hidden meaning wont mean the opposite but might add to the depth of the original statement. ex. Jesus feeds thousands with loaves and fishes--deeper meaning, Loaves=rich men Fishes= poor men.. meaning: Both the rich and poor can spread the Gospel. That kind of code deciphering is fine, its the ones that give a while different message than the one on the surface and not in conjunction with the rest of scripture

6=police
6=don
6=hells angels

that is based on god=7154=17=8 pattern

and you are forced into allegience with one of then in your white world and you try to force all races into that same thing thats why europe sucked for 1000's of years.

thats the number of the beast the other one is beast=2511920 and turn it over and its gods birthday. as it says 0=day 261 IS face ie upside down 2, so in reality i am just a beast like god jehovah and jesus christ were but superior technology like the light machine and reciever in your ear will last as long as earth.

but LORD GOD TODD=TRUE when both are summed up to one letter or number is My hoax. whats yours?

I always find it interesting how these people find supposed codes for major tragedies like Sept 11 for example. How long did these people know of that code? If you dig deep enough you can find secret codes in The National Enquirer. Its all a farce.

I have studied some Bible codes. The ones I like are in the books of the law. They point to Jesus as Savior.

day of the sign eh?

what kind of sign?

those bible codes are lame, every few years everyone is certain that next year is the last and the bible 'proves it'

but then that year ends and the person behind it looks like an idiot.
the problem is its interpreting 10000 different ways

Cool site, thanks for the link. I've watched a number of documentaries about this and even read the book. I don't give any credence to it but at least it's more fascinating than the babbling you get when you read the book in a normal fashion.

It's all nonsense. God would not send His word to His people in code. He wants us to know what He says, and He means what He says. In fact it is very wrong to make up things like "codes" because it may lead someone astray.

I find them confusing. The message of the gospel is faith, repentance, baptism and gift of the holy ghost. Everything else is not necessary to know.
