Watchers is a name taken by many magickal people and creatures. I will explain each as I know them to be.

The first is the easiest to explain. I am a Watcher. My task is to collect information about magick practice and ritual occultism. This information is then shared with other watchers. You could say we are record keepers. We also are practicing guardians. Often we recieve a calling from a God/Goddess/s. This calling will bring us to a charge, that is a magickian we are supposed to protect from themselves, or a magickian that needs to learn rapidly.

The second form of a watcher is my brothers and sisters. The souls of watchers past do precisely the same. The difference being as souls, they are not allowed to actively participate with a charge. They gather knowledge of magick. Both "black" and "white" magick.

Last but not least are the Grigori. These are the sons and daughters of fallen angels. They took the name watchers becuase they chose that they are better suited then God to teach humanity to humans.

If you seek to speak with a watcher of my kind I would be honored to assist you however neccessary. Please note I do not follow the path of the Gregori, Nephilim, or the Book of Enoch.

Actually their half angels. in Genesis Chapter 6 it speaks of angels that came to Earth to teach humanity rightousness. They fell in love with the human women and bred with them. The result was a race of half-angels who were known by several names such as the Selipham (not sure of the spelling here) the Grigori and the Watchers (don't ask me why, that's just what they were called) the bible doesn't have all of these names in here, but there are other documents that do. These Grigori were supposed to b giants. The consumed all of the resources of earth and eventually started eating people. The Earth was in great chaos at this time. These Grigori is why many scholars beleive the great flood with Noah and the ark happened. These Grigori screwed up the planet so much that God wiped them out and started everything all over again.

Worlds different. Angels watch over everyone. Watchers watch those who use any type of magickal ability. They are there to learn every type of magickal ability being used, but no one knows why. They keep all this information in their records but from what we can tell here (they are always in and out of our home), they don't actually DO anything... yet. They keep records of the magicks used by those of power. They can be seen with the naked eye, usually as a shadow slipping across the wall or ceiling, and sometimes just sitting in a corner. If you're doing magickal work or any kind of projections and feel something over your shoulder, you've probably got a watching making records of everything you're doing. They are not necessarily dark entities, but they are not light either. At this time, they are in a neutral phase of existence.

For 'watchers' listed two times in the Bible.

Jer 4:16 Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that WATCHERS come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah.
For Jer. 4:16 watchers: 5341rcn Natsar (naw-tsar'); Verb, Strong #: 5341
to guard, watch, watch over, keep
(Qal)
to watch, guard, keep
to preserve, guard from dangers
to keep, observe, guard with fidelity
to guard, keep secret
to be kept close, be blockaded
watchman (participle)

Da 4:17 This matter is by the decree of the WATCHERS, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
For Daniel 4:17 watchers: 5894 ry[ `iyr (Aramaic) (eer); Noun Masculine, Strong #: 5894 waking, watchful, wakeful one, watcher, angel

One is a angel and one is not. The one that is not a angel may be a preacher a/k/a watchman

It depends on where you picked up the term really. If you got it from a Dr. Dre Song it's probably people on rooftops with trick sparrows. If you got it from Memnoch the Devil by Anne Rice they are angels. Again I would saw it depends on where you got it, but most likely they are watching something or someone.

Some people will say they are psychic and tell you about the angels watching you. They will even tell about their names. However, I have my own belief in who is watching me. Angels? yes, residing in my senses and guiding my decisions in life. Have you experienced a whisper sometimes that tells you not to go or to go? It is your conscience...no forms, no wings,no gender it can tell the good things to do.... it could even teach me to do something bad because I am always given a choice.
Tangible angels? also yes, my mother who took care of me till I can do everything on my own. my sister, my friends, my wife, my children, the man across the street who just greeted me good morning, the newspaperman, the mailman. my mentors and my tormentors and you who reminded me of myself asking if there really are angels......thanks to you angel!

I think there's a book by Dean Koontz called "Watchers".
It's been a while since I read it, but it was about a dog.
