my hair is naturally a little wavy but right after i straighten it and walk around a while it gets wavy again. i need to get my dead ends cut off but i'm afraid it will make it even more curlier. i don't know wut shampoo and conditioners to use if i do get it cut to keep it straight.

Get a 100% ceramic hair straightener (flat iron). It will cost about $100 but trust me, it works. Those $30 ones at the store are crap, they kill your hair and they only work for an hour or two. Use the flat iron on barely damn hair, and if you feel the need for something else, use a little bit of leave-in conditioner spray. That should do the trick. If you're looking for something low-maintenence, there are chemical treatments you can do, but they are not good for your hair and you need to touch up monthly, and that can be costly.

You can get it permanetly straightened by a hair dresser, It lasts for about 5-6 months, but when you have it you can still curl it and crimp it and such, or you can use "straight as can be" shampoo. And cutting off the dead ends WON'T make your hair more curly.

There is a process called "chi" (chee) that the better salons have now, try calling around. My wife had it done. It straightens hair permanently until it grows out. It's expensive depending on what you think is expensive i guess. Her first visit was about $400 then she gets tune ups every six months that cost just under $300. My wife is very happy with the results. I hope this helps.

its not a shampoo, but in some salons there is this japanese treatment that you can get on your hair and it stays straight for about 3 months, without any effort from you. I think they basically straighten it with special straighteners and use special sprays and things.

Here is a story on it -
