who answer all of my sincere questions, with venomous and antagonistic answers. Why do you insist on doing that to someone who is not putting you down at all? Is that the way you plan to win people over to christ, by being rude and angry all the time. Or are you just nice to the other christians who ask questions on here, and if that is the case how christian can that really be considered?
This question is not intended for the people who have answered my recent question in a thoughtful and knowledgable manner...I am grateful for your answers.

Unfortunately, you find good an bad seeds amongst all groups of people. It is unfortunate for true Christians because those bad seeds make such poor representatives of what we should be standing for and it is unfortunate for others who feel hurt or disrespected.
As Christians, we are charged with spreading the word. Imagine how frustrating it is to attempt such a feat when so many are not Christian and so many have encountered bad "Christian" experiences. Even a Christian has to understand that it is a choice and we can not force others to come to Christ. I think sometimes we forget that and let our emotions get the better of us.
I, for one, think your question was a respectable one and it sounds like you are respecting the faith of your children and family members. We don't have to believe the same thing to respect each other.

Part of the problem is that scriptural Christianity and the lives of people here in America tend to differ. At the root of it, Christianity holds that Christ is superior to man; not equal to man (man is a false god; Gen. 3). All men make mistakes; (for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23).
There is a man-made old testament of Genesis-Malachi, and the scriptural old testament; i.e. the law of Moses. (Per scripture, the old testament was done away; Hebrews). The Jews were told to have two or more witnesses (about three times Deut. 10-20), and the Christians were given the same command (Matt. 18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1). When this concept is applied, one finds the 'old testament' is the law of Moses. My 'two or more witnesses' for that assertion include Joshua (Joshua 8:31), David (2 Kings 2:3), Solomon (1 Kings 8:9), Nehemiah (Nehemiah 8:1), Daniel (Daniel 9:11-13), Malachi (Malachi 4:4)i, Jesus (Matt. 19:7-9), God the Father (Matt. 17; in effect he backs up whatever Jesus his Son says), and the apostle Paul. (The law is referred to as the old testament (KJV), many other English versions translate it as old covenant in 2 Cor. 3:13-14). The law of Moses starts in Exodus 20. Perhaps this is part of why the beast in Revelation 17 is the USA, and the harlot Babylon is the leadership of the USA. (See what happens to the beast and harlot in Revelation 18).
God apparently had me think of this text recently; Acts 18:24-28 (please read) regarding Priscilla, Aquilla, and Apollos. Apparently, Apollos was eager to grow. I hope many Christians in this country presently are in the Apollos category.

Hmmm...I'm a Christian. We are all human. We are supposed to love the sinner and hate the sin. Unfortunately, our human nature takes hold after being bashed so often that we let our emotion override our reason. No one, whether Christian or not should ever EVER act rude on here. It kind of kills the intent of Yahoo Answers. Have a magnificent day.

EVERY Christian is called to speak in a loving and gentle way. They are sinning if they are not. Do not listen to "Christians" who behave this way. They are only humans...don't expect perfection from Christians b/c you will be disappointed. Look to the cross for perfection, not humans. I just ignore horrific and ridiculous ideas/questions as tempting as it is to lash back. It's not a Christlike attitude...

And out poor the hypocrites:
"I dont judge others."
:Oh, you must be speaking of others, cuz I dont do that."
Yet, for some reason, you and I keep getting venomous and antagonistic responses.... Not very Christ like, eh?

Good question.
Speaking solely for myself, I have tried to treat everyone with courtesy and respect, like Jesus would do. Unlike Jesus, I sometimes fail. If I did so in response to a reasonable and non-Christian attacking question, my apologies.
