How is it that God does not look at adultery as grounds for divorce? He insists that for a marriage to be successful that two must unite as one. But if one is uniting with two, why would it be considered "adultery" if one were to divorce their husband for it?

It says in the bible that just because a man is to cheat on his wife, it is not right in his eyes to divorce. It just doesnt make sense.

Adultery is grounds for an annulment. Divorce is to be avoided, but in cases of infidelity, you can get annulled.

It depends on your religion. See, most religions see adultery as a call for divorce but catholicism might be a bit different. Adultery in my eyes (and God's eyes to most religions) is a ground for divorce. You know that God didn't write the Bible so it's not even God's words so you can't really say it's his opinion that adultery isn't that serious...

Um, I believe even the New Test says Divorce is only allowed when adultery is involved... and then you're not allowed to remarry. But it doesn't say you can't get divorced if one or both sides is committing adultery.
Just how is one uniting with two? Adultery is when one or both married people seek sexual gratification outside of marriage... if you divorce and remarry, you are an adulterer (according to the bible).

Once married a man or woman must not have sex with another person. That is considered Adultery or what we call cheating. It is grounds for divorce.

It is not adultery to divorce a husband over adultery. If you cannot reconcile to you husband because of the adultery, you are allowed to divorce.
In Matthew 5:32 Jesus says, "But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery."

Read the verse again. The one committing adultery has no grounds for divorce, but the spouse does.

Adultery is grounds for divorce, God has nothing to do with it, morality does.

The ONLY reason that God accepts divorce is because of adultery and even then it is advised to stay together if you can.

9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. (KJV),
Understanding the context of this scripture is very important because its not saying its ok,but this is speaking in the case of engagement,if you are engaged to a person as joseph was to marry and if they cheat then it would be ok to divorce, but if they are actually united and married then it would NOT be ok to divorce because the use of the word FORNICATION,fornication is not something married ppl do it would then be called adultery
