It is a matter of supply & demand: Men produce millions of sperm daily, and are thus constantly looking for places to send them; while women make available a mere 600 or so eggs in their entire lifetime, so it behooves them to be careful what she does with them. (The choices behind birth control is a relativley new thing, and these male/female perspectives are engraved over eons.) Therefore, men are inherently promiscuious, while women weigh the costs, as the investment of time effort & commitment are much greater, as she must assume pregnancy will eventually result if she is to respond favorably to every offer for some free sperm samples--which is what is ultimatley what is behind the "horny" honk.
