It would be helpful if you described the dog's age and breed, and when exactly it is barking. Dogs bark for a variety of reasons, especially when they are tied up outside alone. Collies, Shelties, hounds, toy dogs and terriers tend to be very prone to barking.

what kind of breed is it?? Most small dogs bark a lot, this is because they are intimated by other things. Bigger dogs like German Shepard, Labradors and Pitt bulls feel like they have to protect you and your home.

they say that dogs bark alot if they are bored and need attention..Go play with the puppy :)

you have to show your dog that you are the alpha in the house. Read Jan Fennell's Dog Listener. I love the book, it should help you.

your dog bark because it hear something out side or it hear a noise and it is trying to tell what ever it is that if you come in side here than i am going to charge.......................
