the new scale other respondents refer to is called the Vantage Score, which now ranges from 501 - 990 (not 0 - 1000 as noted above). if you would like to see your credit score on the new point scale, Experian has been the first to offer Vantage scores via the link below.

541 is an extremely undesirable score. i do no longer understand why you're asking us the reason to your credit status. would not having 2 debts in collections advance any clues? those archives will stay on your credit checklist for seven and a 0.5 years. and each time you prepare for a mastercard it lowers your score much extra. I recommend which you get lifelike. start up saving money for a 20% down fee on a house and meanwhile provide up inquiring for credit taking part in cards. If every person is silly adequate to loan you any money basically be sure you make your money ON TIME without failing to accomplish that whilst quickly as. you're an extremely unfavorable credit ratings threat.

They dont rate; they range. The lowest and highest score is not something anyone can truly tell you for sure.

Of course just as consumers begin to get a grasp on the CBC game they change it. I dont believe the new scoring system will help one bit. I believe it is to protect the CBC and the people who report to them. Plus with so many new forms of credit available I am sure they are working on a way to start a uniform reporting of people using creative financing and switching to lower APR by transfering balances.

odd they don't do it from 0-1000. but a new model is coming out for all bureaus to adhere to, some will some won't but it's to make the scores more unified and coherent. no real reason why those distinct ranges were used but whatever works, works.

Why is the sky blue? It's just their scale.

However, the credit companies are working on a new scale, which will go to 1,000 instead....Might be less confusing.
