Hi, I have a full UK drivers licence. Can I use this to drive in USA, Canada or the Caribbean? (looking to book a holiday!)

Yes, no problem. I'm from the Netherlands and had no problem hiring a car in California a few years ago.
We were afraid it was not valid, so we bought an international drivers licencs, but that has no real value. All it does is translate what it says on european passports into a lot of foreign languages. An international drivers license has no official value.

I am sorry. I do not know that answer to this. However, there are auto rental agencies in the UK that are also in the US. You can call and ask them. They should know or be able to find out. Sorry for such a pathetic answer. ;)

Yes, all accept it, but will obviously need to take out relevant insurance.
