I used to be really active in dance, and since I've stopped, I've gained a lot of weight, but I still don't really feel that I'm very fat. I'm now 5'8 and weigh 206 lbs, but I also have really big boobs (FF cup). I wear a size 16. Would most people consider me to be a fat girl now?? Am I dangerously fat? I've noticed people looking at me, and I think I've heard some snide comments. I don't know what to think. Please, be very honest. Thanks.

I know that according to by BMI, I am obese, but that doesn't
take into account my lean muscle mass (which I do have, as I was a a
dancer). Muscle weighs more than fat. I just took my measurements to
to determine if I have a good waist-hip ratio, and they are 48-37-48.
That's good isn't it? Because I'm proportionate?

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying. Loose as much as you want to !
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

P.S
Regular active exercise is advised with all weight loosing medicines and remedies :-) Take care

I mean youre not Fat, you may be a little over weight, but its nothing a little diet and exercise cant take care of. If you were a dancer, it could be that you have alot of muscle and everyone knows muscle weighs more than fat, so:
Current Weight: 206
Healthy weight range: 122 - 164
Current BMI: 31.3
Ideal BMI: 18.5 - 25
I got this info off a website for the South Beach Diet.

You may be carrying some extra weight, but at a size 16 you don't look fat. At 5'8" and 206lbs, you're not "dangerously fat", but you don't want to gain any more weight if you can help it. Maybe just work to keep yourself toned. The plus side is that you're taller, so that weight is distributed better. The only thing that probably makes you look heavier is the larger breasts. They're probably a good 15-20lbs. of your weight. Once they go past a D cup, they detract from a woman's appearance b/c they give the illusion of a bigger midsection b/c they're so large and make everything look larger. If you hear snide comments, it's probably people wondering if you have implants, not that you're fat. Don't let people get to you. Mean people can suck it. :)

Your body mass index (BMI) is 31.3. Anything over 30 is considered "obese." Now, you may not look or feel obese, but your weight is significantly over what is recommended for your height and probably very unhealthy. Seriously, you're doing your self a disservice at this weight. If you're good at keeping records of what you eat, Weight Watchers can be an effective program to lose weight. It's very flexible in what you can eat and simple to use. (This is not a promotion for WW. I just happen to know several people who had great success with the program.)

When I was in school, I learned that for women... to figure the approx appropriate weight. Look at their height, for 5 ft... that's 100 lbs, add 5 lbs for every inch after that. So, at 5'8", appropriate weight would be approx 140-145 lbs. Wearing a size 16 (average is 12 i think)... you are overweight and should lose some weight. Morbid obesity is being 100lbs overweight. You are getting close to that.

You are considered obese BUT you're not too far over the overweight mark on my BMI calculator. The thing is the national averaged size woman in the U.S. is running at a 14-16, personally as someone who works in a health care, as long as your physician doesn't gripe at you about your weight I don't see a problem with it, also if you're not having health problems, as long as you have a good self esteem why not be a little more curvaceous.

Good lord. Girl your BMI is 31.3 which is considered OBESE!!! That is soooo unhealthy!!! You need to do something about that quickly. Your BMI should be between 18-24 to be average. If you were soooo into dance why would you let yourself go?? I have been a dancer my whole life and my BMI is 16. I no longer dance but I refuse to be fat.

In my opinion, u might appear to be a little overweight, but I wouldn't consider you FAT. But looking fat is really a personal thing, unless your obese, then pretty much everyone would know your fat.
