Really hard question...umm...
Why do you need to get over her?
I'm gonna assume that you've recently been in a relationship with her and it did go as well as you'd hoped. In that case, become friends with her again, but distance yourself from that place we call love. Start going out without her and meet new people, possibly a new girl. But I'd really suggest concentrating on ALL of your friendships right now. Maybe you've been drifting away from someone close to you (because of the girl) restore that relationship. If you do that it'll give you somethin new to focus on. It's that or find a new hobby. Remember this is gonna take a lot of time.

I am going to run with they hooked up with someone else and you fill little high and dry? The thing about childhood friends is we sometimes don't associate the emotion if intimacy and love to them. They are brothers, sisters, the person we tell all are deep dark uglies, you don't want you lover to know your ugly spaces. Well the thing is YOU do, the person you hook up with should know you better than anyone else inside and out, if you catch my drift. Have you expressed the feelings that your experiencing? Sometimes the searching we go through and pain staking efforts to find the love and happiness that everyone seeks was a waste of time, it was right there in front of us all the time. We just don't see past the forest to see the trees! Go find your tree!

If you havent put closure to the relationship, then its going to be SUPER hard for you to get over her or even move on. If the relationship ended really bad to where you didnt say one word to eachother after you broke up, then you need closure. Patch up the last talk, and just make a mends of the situation. After that, it just takes time, or you might find someone else to put all those feelings towards.
good luck!

you have to put closure on that relationship, as far as you loving her..in the sense of love, and realise that that you have the best relationship, having known her for years, you will always be friends, relationships ect come and go, and be happy for her if shes happy and she will be for you too,and you can still be friends,....if you were meant to be together you would or will be ...but you live life to the fullest, because all she ever may be is your friend and someone will love you in the way you need, so open your eyes and see that you havent lost anything ,you didnt have anything to lose as far as love with her, just great special friends.

The best advice I've ever received is-find a new love. As for the being friends thing, tough break. Easier to make new friends than to find a new love-at least inthe short term.

Hi, you don't... You just learn to move on. Once you love someone you never really unlove them... Take a break from them and yourself, do something out of the kindness of your heart and someone will return the favor. God Bless and take care.

If there is any chance the feelings may be returned , go for it. Just feel out the situation but know that friendship is most important. If there is no chance, look elsewhere.

I don't think there is a fast way for you to get over that person... you have way too much emotional involvement with that person. What you can do, is try new things to do to expose your self to meeting new people.... try dancing classes, a new gym, go to a library, etc... to meet new people...
