Use Dove shampoo formulated especially for curly hair. It works quite well. And put on hair gel or mousse or even hair spray.

i use paul mitchell styling glaze. it is a very thin gel so it keeps your hair frizz-free without making it hard. and once you put styling product in it and it starts to dry, DON'T TOUCH IT!! That is very important. also keep a spray bottle with water and if it starts to frizz, give it a gentle spray.
