Unless you are Mr Gorgeous you can't expect a woman to make a decision like that based on just a photo.
Men go by physical features on women. But most women are different - they like succesful guys, funny guys, popular guys, interesting guys, etc. This is why you can often find a "Hottie" dating an ugly guy.
Make sure look smart and take an effort with your looks - but be aware it is so much more than that for a girl!
