The last thing that scared me? The tarantula that I found in my room on Saturday. Yes, folks, I founda tarantula in my room.
I'm not sure how it came to be in my room, but it still scared the crap out of me, anyway.
I was cleaning my bed off after a pool party with my friends, when I picked up the pair of pants that I had warn earlier that day. Because they had gotten a little wet, I had placed them over my bed to dry while I swam. Well, I picked them up and I had only gone about two steps when I felt something brush against my leg. Of course, my reflexes sent my head swerving, and I looked down to see this four inch long tarantula on my floor, only a few inches from my foot.
I immediately dropped the pants and ran to the doorway of my room. I screamed at the top of my lungs and my mother ran in to see what was wrong. She saw the thing and screamed, too, though she had more courage than I did. She put a gift bag over it, and we managed to put it into a platic container. That sucker was huge! I couldn't believe that it had wondered into my room and had probably been living there for a long time.
I was changed for a few days from it. I would shake out my clothing and step on them before putting them on, I made my bed in such a spider-proof way that my neighbors laughed their heads off, I vaccumed my entire room to the point that it was scary, and I wouldn't walk anywhere if it was dark. Lights on, folks.
What was the most scary about the whole situation was how in the world it got into my house. I live in a very nice house in one of the best neighborhoods around, and there aren't any forests or woods anywhere near me. We did have the doors open during a power outage the week before, but it would have had to climb up the steps to get inside--an impossible feat for a tarantula that can't climb.
It was quite a scare, and I think a part of me will never quite get over it. I'm at the age where the choices I make last a life time, and this just might make me arachnaphobic for a while.
So, here's to that damned tarantula!

Well, we were going through a heat wave, and I'd been suffering from allergic asthma/bronchitis (which I've never had before), and I was taking OTC meds for it, which were making me feel weird...and maybe my body's electrolytes got messed up, or maybe I was just-plain dehydrated...
But it was the middle of the night, and, all of a sudden, the muscles in my lower-right leg just seized-up so painfully that I'd never felt anything so terrible. And THEN the muscles in my left foot cramped up so badly that my left big toe was pointed almost backwards, and I couldn't get it to un-cramp.
And I kept thinking that if the same thing had happened to my heart muscle, that I'd have been a goner, for sure...
SCARY!

I went to somebody's house on Sunday night after church. I was playing cards and out of nowhere their tiny little dog comes in and I jump half a mile. I was so scared for a minute.

I agree with KirstenP. The fact that America voted for Bush again scared me.

I was at work the other day when someone shot a rubber band in my direction. I thought it was a bug and jumped out of the way. It scared me and made everyone laugh.

When I woke up, there was this really strong, scary looking guy in my front yard. I was a little bit scared when I went out to see who he was. It turns out that it was one of my old neighbors, so then I jumped into his arms, and wasn't scared anymore.

The movie Grudge. That was over a year ago. I can't remember anything sooner that has scared me, and that is scary.
