CROP-DUSTING!!!! You must ease it out while you walk around the office. That way it is near impossible to pin on you. With the stench everywhere anyone could be the culprit.

Since I have my own office, I am able to let the fly as necessary. Although, for added fun, I will ride the empty elevator and release just as I get off, leaving a surprise for the next passenger.

That is so unbelievably unprofessional. Cant even imagine why anyone would ever consider passing gas in the office around other people! Go outside! Do it in the bathroom! Never do it in the office. Yuck!

Excuse yourself and leave the room to expel your gas. I work with two old men who do no not bathe regularly and find it very satisfying to break wind as loudly and as often as they can. The office is very small and the air in here is foul. Unfortunately, they're the business owners, so there's not much I can do.

Well, if you have the chance, go to the rest room.

But if it happens, don't worry about it or say anything.
This is one of the quirks of etiquette. One is assumed not to be in control of flatulence. Anyone who says anything about it (including the "culprit") draws attention to it and is rude. Everyone is supposed to politely pretend it never happened.

This is different from a burp, which you are assumed to be in control of, and an "excuse me" is therefore required.

I don't make the rules, I just read and remember them!

I would excuse myself and go the the restroom. I will share my brothers favorite rhyme with you.
It's better to fart and bear the shame than not to fart and bear the pain.

I would walk to a corner of the room if no one is there.
maby you could cough and fart at the same time to cover the noise.
i just get up and walk around and let it rip. try not to do it around anyone.
maby walk to the water cooler.
good luck

Take a bathroom break, and "release" in the restroom

Go to the bathroom and release. Take and use airfreshener if necessary. If you wait all day, it could result in MAJOR cramping.
