If he didn't want us to act the way that we do, couldn't he have just created us differently? If it's all a test, then surely, he would have known whether we would pass or fail before we were born.

The same reason that you need to learn and study before you can graduate. You don't graduate for the graduation but to learn and obtain knowledge that you can use.

The Goal of Life is to become Perfect like God is Perfect, to become Divine. God didn't create us ungodly but we can reach Divinity by following the Eternal Divine Path.

If God did everything for us we wouldn't have learned it. We have the ability to learn and grow and therefore this is what we must do.

Hey Mr. H, you've had good answers and not so good ones so far.
Humans were given the gift of free will. Choose your destiny. Yes He does know who will pass or fail. The learning is for you, not Him. Picture this, among many pictures: if Judas had had the faith to ask for forgiveness after his act of betrayal he would
not have committed suicide and gone to where he has no hope. That's one of the human short-comings; how many of the other Apostles would have been able to forgive under the circumstances?
By the way, He does not send us to hell, we send ourselves.

Yes He know who will turn to Him and who won't. He paid the price for everyone's salvation if you didn't take Him up on the offer again DON'T blame God...

(1) God has given all people enough evidence to know that he exists.

(2) Nonetheless, people choose not to know him.

(3) Therefore, God is giving people what they want, he does not send them to hell he gives them a choice and they choose hell.

God wants all people to be rescued from their sins and know His truth (1Timothy 2:3-4). He desires all to repent and come to know him (2Peter 3:9). However, the Bible also reveals that God does not force Himself on people. He allows people to reject Him even though He doesn't like it. God is love (1John 4:16), but God allows people to reject His love, and to remain in their sins.
It seems illogical to some that God could be loving and wrathful at the same time. However, much of God's character is beyond our comprehension.

Even though we don't fully understand it, the decision is still ours. God says that we all deserve his wrath and judgment, sin separated us from God and that is why Jesus came and died a horrible death. So that we could be reconciled to God.

God does not send us to hell. Hell is not a physical place of eternal torture that God condemns us to. If there is a hell, it is within our own beliefs, as a state of mind. We send ourselves to "hell". We can experience hell right here, right now, in this dimension.

God is the pure energy of unconditional love for all. God is not a being that condemns and judges. That image humanizes and belittles God. God is the process of life itself.

God creates people to live with HIM forever in heaven

God to be God must only have people who want to be in heaven.

We on earth must make the choice to follow God in this life and live with HIM forever OR To abandon God for our own ways in this life and suffer the consequences in the next life.

(Guess "Choose... was wrong)
