I am having my 4th c-section, and am considering getting my tubes tied, so I won't have any more children. Are there emotional side effects to this? Did you regret having the procedure done, or were you glad you did it? I've talked to the Dr. about this, but I need outside info from personal experiences.

I have not had one but have cared for many moms who have gotten one (I'm a nurse). It's hassle free if you are getting a c-section and to be honest with you, 4 c-sections is all you should have anyway. I helped deliver several women having their 4th and 5th c-sections and the uterus where the scars from previous surgeries were paper thin and in danger of rupture.

You are already being cut open, so it couldn't be a more convenient time to get it. Just be sure you don't want more kids because tubal ligation is considered permanent and is very expensive to reverse and does not always work.

If I would have had a c-section I would have gotten my tubes tied but all my births were vaginal. My husband got the vasectomy instead when my last baby was 6 months old and we've never regretted it. It's lovely not to worry about getting pregnant anymore or remembering to take pills or suffering side effects from birth control.

That is so funny you should ask because I am having the same issue. I am pregnant with my 4th child and all of my previous were born by c-section. This one will be a c-section as well and I am now 37 so I am really considering it.

My only issue is what if something were to happen to one of my children, would I want to try for another? God forbid that were to happen but I do think about it. I don't have too many years left that I can have children safely anyway, so the chances of me trying either way are slim. But you said, you want to see this from all angles and that is one thing that I think about a lot.

Best of luck!

I did it. No side effects, no regrets. I knew for sure that I didn't want anymore kids, I have three and that is perfect. During the c-section was perfect because the doc was already in there. You'll be glad you did it if you are sure you don't want anymore.

I had mine tied also. It is great, my husband and I don't worry anymore. I had no side effects but talk to your doctor again and ask about hormone levels. My sister said her hormones went crazy on her. She broke out with major zits.

i think of that's via the actuality "without delay" women at the instant are not probably without delay. So, sexual attraction does not have a foremost function in mating. as a remember of actuality, they could be relationship different women if sexual attraction had an identical "weight" it has for gay women as nicely as gay and without delay adult males given the actuality "without delay"· women very own a gay perceptive bias on the subject of sexual popularity and check out, as a result, the female physique greater aesthetically friendly/sexier/greater handy on the attention/greater exciting/etc. IMO, "without delay" women represent the worst of the worst while it incorporates romance (egocentric, gay leaning yet irrationally self defined as "heterosexual", hypocritical, emotionally distant, sexually indifferent) and we would desire to comprehend without delay adult males have been given the shortest end of the stick on the subject of sexual orientation.
