As so many ahead of me have said, it's okay and healthy to eat a clean cucumber, peel and all.
The only advice I will give is that sometimes cucumbers grown in hotter or dryer (or both!) climates can develop a bitterness from growing under the stress caused by too much heat or not enough water (or both...). This is easily remedied by cutting off one end, near the top, before peeling it, and rubbing the two cut edges together in circles. Do this for a few minutes, and you can see a solid white substance developing at the edges. This is the bitter compound being drawn out. If you don't believe me, just try it, and taste the stuff that builds up. It tastes pretty bitter. After you do one end, turn it around and do the other end. If you're not the type to notice bitterness in vegetables, then don't worry about it, I guess.

Absolutely! Some cucumbers are waxed before shipping, though, so you may want to wash them with warm water and wipe them with a paper towel. Won't hurt you, just leaves your teeth feeling odd.
My kids eat cucumbers by picking them up and taking bites out of them, like a long, green apple. They're weird kids, but that's not the fault of the cucumbers... the jury is still out on whether it's genetic or environmental. :-)
I sometimes peel cucumbers when I'm making sunomono (a fresh Japanese pickle made by slicing cucumbers paper thin, then topping with kosher salt and letting them cure for 30-40 minutes) or tzatziki (same procedure, but blend in Greek-style yogurt before serving). However, I've recently come up with a super-easy way to make a fantastic tzatziki -- shred the cucumber with a grater, leaving the peel in place. Then salt, allow to ferment for half an hour (a green juice will separate out); rinse to remove the liquid, drain to avoid diluting with the rinse water, then add garlic and yogurt.
More than you wanted to know, but I've been jonesing for some shawarma and tzatziki lately...

Yes, it's OK. If you've ever eaten a pickle you already have. Pickles are cucumbers with the rind still on them.

Yes, it is ok to eat the skin of the cucumber. Did you know that you can make Cucumber Juice? It is good for health and for the skin. Others I know when they go on a diet, have a cucumber diet. To make cucmber juice, you need a juicer, peel off the skin , put in juicer, add sugar to taste and ice. or use a blender, make sure you peel off the skin and remove the seeds, then add sugar and ice. You can also make use of cucumber as facial mask or astringent.

yes, it is okay to eat that part of the cucumber. Every time that you eat a pickle, you are eating it. Usually there is alot of nutrition in the skins and peeling of fruits and veggies. Some of them are just bitter tasting when eaten. Wash it good, add some salt and enjoy!

Yes, the "rind" of the cucumber is edible. It is considered a good source of fiber, and adds an extra crunch to the fruit. Just make sure you give it a good wash. ;)

I work at a Subway here in Texas, and we do not cut the "rind" off of the cucumbers. I would think it would be fine or we wouldnt be able to do that.
