My boyfriend and I have been going out for about five months. His mother is finally coming to town from out of state and he says she really wants to meet me and he's told her about our relationship. The strange thing is, suddenly he's acting like I might not get to meet her during the few days she will be here. He plans to see me after she leaves. My boyfriend really pushed and pushed to see my parents, he finally did last month, and I feel it is only right if I see his mom because of this.

You should push and push to meet his parents too. Just as girls tend to grow to be like their moms, boys tend to be like their dads - but also like their moms!

Knowing the family gives you so much broader an understanding of the person. What is he suddenly scared of? You should insist that his mom get to know you and like you if you want to be a big part in his life.

You insist on it, too - even if your relationship isn't going to last for ever, you should meet her!

I don't think it matters one way or the other, it'll happen when it happens. I agree with the other advice here, it depends how serious you are and how old you are too.
