If there is no commission for your services you should get $25 an hour + Tips

I do not recommend getting hourly pay because most places will only pay you minimum wage starting. I work for Smartstyle which is located inside Walmart Supercenters and get 50% commission, which if converted into hourly pay would average anywhere from $15-$20 an hour. I also get 10% off retail and keep the tips. Also where and who are you working for? Is it a busy salon with great clientele or is it steady with hardly any clientele? Keep that in mind. If you do a wonderful job, you are worth more than what you think or what I average an hour. We go to school for $3000 and should get more after getting more experienced. Good luck.

i didnt think they charge by the hour the hairstylists i know pay booth rental and keep whatever they make so you might need to find another salon to work at especially if you are good

I think you should ask for $10 per hour, plus 50% commission on services you provide, plus you get to keep your tips.

$20 - Blow dry
