In my business I once had to ship a (small) package to Togo in Africa. After comparing rates went with the US Postal Service which was WAY cheaper than the other options I looked at (UPS and Fedex) and it arrived safely in a reasonable amount of time (about 2 weeks, I think). This package weighed only about 5 ounces, however. For a larger package it may be that another service is a better choice.

All the major carriers deliver to Africa unless the destination is having a war or other disaster. Try DHL, FedEx, Airborne, UPS, or USPS.

You can send it UPS, USPS, FED EX, DHL. Just be sure that what you are sending can clear customs. Most African countries do not permit "personal effects."
