Christians believe in Salvation through the death burrial and ressurrection of Jesus Christ. Muslims believe Jesus was nothing but a Prophet, didnt die on the cross, didn't sacrifice for sins and is no more special than their beloved Muhammad who married and had sex with a 9 yr old girl when he was 50+ and didnt think this was a bad thing.
Good enough?

Thank you for your question, I hope to be able to answer all of your Q's about my religion to the best of my knowledge.
Take it from a Muslim, the first two posts lack any bit of reality, and the third one almost did until that last bit.
Like Christianity stems from Judaism, Islam stems from Christianity. At the time of the Prophet Muhammad (saws), people had strayed from the traditional or original teachings of Christianity and were in dire need of a porphet. Much similar to the Jewish culture before the arrival of Jesus (saws).
We share the same basic concepts, the 10 Commandments, belief in One God (Allah in Arabic is translated as Al = The, ilah = God; Allah = The God), worship only due to Him, love, peace and prosperity, etc.
The only major difference in Islam and Christianity is the belief of Jesus (saws) being the son of God, or a part of God. In Islam, God is One, there are none like Him, nothing compares. He does not beget, nor was He begotten. We don't see Jesus (saws) as being worship-worthy (only God), however we DO see him as a wonderful prophet, within the same levels as Muhammad (saws). We do not believe he died on the cross, because we believe that God saved him and rose him up into the heavens, in which he will wait until time for his return to destroy the anti-Christ and restore piety and peace to the world.
You can read up more on comparatives and on Jesus in Islam at these sites below. Good luck and God bless.

Both claim to believe in one God.
In Christianity, however, this means believing in the trinity it consists of God, his son and the holy spirit. however, that does not mean there are 3 gods, but only one.(which is confusing for so many).
In Islam, rather, there is no trinity. God has no son. Muslims believe that Jesus peace be upon him was a prophet just like the others and taught the same things just like the others: to believe in only ONE God.
there are other differences. in islam, only God can forgive sins while in christianity you must go to a priest to confess.
i would assume both religions encourage good conduct and politeness. which morals do you want me to talk about?
someone mentioned women in islam. that is a gross misconception many have. if you want to read about it, read this article. http://thetruereligion.org/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=39
it is well known that the bible contains many contradictions, includes many versions, and has been changed over the years. this is not the case with the Quran which only has one version and has been preserved in it original form.
both believe in prophets. in islam, prophets hold a high position and are to be respected. in fact, after a muslims mentions a prophet's name, he/she says "peace be upon him"

There is only one major difference between Islam and Christianity..... that is that In Islam, Muslims believe that there is only One God.. They Believe all of Gods messengers inculding Jesus to be the messenger of God... They also beleve in the miracles he proformed as well as his virgin birth..
But wat is the difference is that Muslims do not belive in Christ (PBUH) as being the son of God... also the Muslims believe that God is one he is neither begotten or begots.. also they belive in Muhammad as the Last messenger of God.. And the Holy Book the Quraan. The Muslims also believe in the Bible and Torah but as time has passed.. they have been corrupted. As the Torah and Bible have many diiferent versions... the Quraan has only 1.

Jesus the Christ. He is Messiah in fulfillment of the Jewish Old Covenant.
Mohammed was a Prophet that met Allah around 625 years after Jesus resurrection.
Jesus is God, Mohammed is not.
