It is 3:17 p.m. here in the New York area. I will be watching Montel Williams at 4:00. I watch every Wednesday because the psychic Syliva Browne is always on on Wednesdays. I also watch John Edwards a lot. Does anyone else believe in mediums and all this paranormal stuff. My husband does not. These shows give me some hope for life on the other side. It gives me a sense that my loved ones who have passed are fine and not burning in the eternal flames of hell that I was raised to believe. I feel like they are okay, even our animals that have passed. I always watch for signs from them or to see them in dreams. I also love the get readings from psychics. One of my friends is hosting a party where we can all get readings.

Psychics, mediums, and the like are charlatans. They are con artists pure and simple.

In the case of John Edwards what you see on the TV is extensively edited... if you were to be in the live audience during a taping you would realize that his misses far outnumber the hits. He uses a combination of hot and cold reading... tactics anyone can master with enough practice.

What these people do is reprehensible... they further a notion that goes contrary to reality and instill false hope in those who are grieving.
