I am a born again Christian and have read the Bible 13 times.

Do not get over obssesed please this can lead you into things that are not so Christian.

We would all love to believe we have some grand purpose . I have even had dreams that I was the next Mary and would give birth to the Christ that will come back to us in the end times.

We all do have a part in God's Grand plan however do not become what is called Grandios. Some people suffer from this and people with depressive disorders suffer form it even more. It is when someone becomes obssesed with themselevs believing they more unique to this life than others around them and often believe they have or will have some sort of prophetic purpose or may believe they are a person who was Famous in History reborn.

Embrace who you are in this moment and thank God for the Natural gifts and blessing he has given you.
Your purpose as a Christian is to seek to be a better person and and strive to bring Gods love through you into the rest of the world.

Please dont fall into Paegen rituals that are against God and his teachings. There is no Grand or Prophetic purpose in breaking the laws God made to protect you from the evils of this world.

If God has ment for you to know something ..You will know

Read 1 Corinthians 12:3. It gives us a way to tell if a spirit is from God or not. This isn't word for word but it says, If they curse Jesus it is not from God and none can say "Jesus is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit. I have this tacked above my bed so that when I wake from a dream I can figure things out. It's helped me stay safe even when the devil was trying to influence me. And remember, if the spirit tells you something that goes against God's teachings it is NOT of God. The scripture is your best weapon against the devil. Even if you have a hard time memorizing as I do you should read it, if I find myself in a dream where I am threatened by demons the proper scripture comes into my mouth. It's the same way when people need help or I have trouble in real life. If you are baptised in the Holy Spirit the demons have a harder time getting to you. God bless you.

Well, you test the spirits by what they say. The Bible is inspired by God. There were 44 writers that wrote 66 books, but we believe that all the books contained were God inspired. We test spirits, ideas, decisions, or really anything by comparing it to what the Bible teaches. If it continually agrees with Biblical doctrine, then it is ok. If it disagrees, makes a detour from the truth, or changes an already accepted truth, then it is clearly not to be trusted. Personally, I don't really trust dreams, but I'm sure that some people have had prophetic dreams.

If you can speak in your dreams, try to ask them who Jesus is? Ask what a person needs to do to get salvation? This usually will lead you right to the answer.

You don't really test the spirits. If the dreams/visions you have been having don't line up with the word of God then they probably aren't from Him. Another thing you can do is ask God to give you a confirmation - like a scripture or a person to confirm what He has told you.

Right, educate yourself. Find the answers from Gods Word, the Bible.

Read this one: Can Dreams Fortell the Future?

The only spirits that would try to contact you, influence or control you would be the demons. Satans associates that were expelled from Gods heavenly kingdom. They were all sent here to the earth so that the heavens would be cleansed. So Satan now rules the earth and his efforts to turn Manking away from serving God permeates everything. Is it not obvious? TV, Newspaper the floods, killings, escalating wars. The state of our planets health.

To "test" whether or not your dreams are from God you will need to go to God's Word. If you do not have a good foundation in God's Word you will not be able to "test" if the dreams are from God... it is not likly that they are...they are probably just dreams...What comes from God is not usualy so uncertain...But still The Word is needed to be understood to interpret...

Spirits from God do not work through dreams....

To test a spirit, If you should ever suspect you are meeting one or being influenced by one, you must have The Faith of God's Word.... If the spirit is of evil it will not stay in the precence of one invoking Jesus' Name.... command the spirit to confess his Lord and Master... if he dose not...and a spirit of evil will not...then command the spirit, in The Name of Jesus The Christ, to depart. The Spirit must leave at the command of Jesus' Name...If you have Jusus' authority as one of His people... If you do not have Jesus' authority.... good luck, you are on your own

If you are visited by a Spirit of God, an angel or messenger, that Spirit will openly give and praise the Name of Jesus.... it is best if you do what that Spirit suggests you do...

That's why it's so important that you know your Bible. If what your experiencing does not line up with the Word of God expel it. There are christian people who deal in interpretations of dreams and they can help you. Also you can rely on the Holy Spirit. Ask him to reveal the source.

wow...dont' know where those two at the top
came from^^^

but you do use the Bible. God does still talk to us in visions and dreams. But, he will never tell us something or do something that goes contrary to what he tells us in the bible.

If these dreams and visions are causing you fear, whether they are from God or not, you should certainly read the Bible and pray. If they are from God, he will show you what to do to change and take the visions and dreams away. If they aren't from God, praying and reading your Bible will bring you closer to God which will also take them away.

All in all. READ THE BIBLE!! It'll tel lyou all you need to know.

Hey Liz,

i would really encourage you to pray and not only that find other sisters to pray alongside with you. i've had visions before and some were of God and others not... i don't know that there are any biblically prescribed principals-- i guess i would also consider the subject of your dreams- if it's just about the future well i think you need to not be fearful but know that God is in control. (i guess i'd need more insight to advise on that).

i do know that it needs to jive with the Bible. And i also know that God has promised us in James that if we lack wisdom he gives it to us liberally. So my only answer for you is to really seek the Lord and to have the body of believers, help you...

I'll definitely pray for you,

Nickster

Jesus,

i want to lift up my sister here and Lord she really needs your help to discern whether her dreams and visions are from you or from another source. Father may the desire of her heart be your desires. Lord if it's from you quicken her heart to obey. If it's not, pray that you would remove these dreams and visions. Ultimately Father i pray you would grow this sister's trust in you and teach her through this time to draw near to you in prayer knowing you are a loving, faithful God who protects us... In Jesus Name... Amen!

Testing the Spirits isnt as hard as it sounds. Do they glorify God or something (someone) else? Is what they say in accordance with scripture? These are the 2 primary tests. If they fail either, then they are not of God.
