No, no one can prove it, so I don't see why they don't believe!

No more than anyone can prove God does exist. Interestingly, one can also neither prove nor disprove the existence of the Great Pumpkin.
What is really interesting, though, is that many people assume that the default answer is that there is a God unless you can prove he doesn't exist. This is completely illogical and foolish. The default is that you start at nothing and prove up from there. Otherwise, you can never prove that I am not a purple duck, or that you are not possessed by the spirit of Jack the Ripper.
It is simply asinine to claim that something for which there is no real evidence exists unless someone can prove it doesn't.
And I can't remember the last time I heard a Christian say "ok, ok... extraterrestrials exist unless we can prove they don't. Everyone, start believing in extraterrestrials now..."

Here's how our relationship to God works: we can only prove He exists, not that He doesn't exist.
If He didn't exist, we wouldn't exist either, and so we wouldn't be able to even talk about this.
Of course, it depends a great deal on what kind of proof you are talking about, either philosophical or scientific proof.
Philosophically, it is impossible, because like all the great philosophers have said, there has to be an uncaused Cause of the universe, and humanity's best attempt to describe that Cause is to call It "God", and believe It has all of the qualities that Monotheists believe It has. This is also proof for some of the eastern religions, which believe that there is one great Spirit that everyone is a part of, but it is NOT proof for God's non-existance.
Scientifically, we can't prove that God exists or doesn't exist, because He isn't physical, and science only studies and proves what is physical.
Ironically, most atheists reject God's existence for the same reason that most monotheists believe in Him - out of faith.
By the way, you're right in your belief that you "simply feel that the statement "God doesn't exist" is not one that can be proved."
I hope my answer gives you some proof to back it up.

It is not possible to prove a negative assertion. If I said the third planet in the Alpha Proxima star system was covered with a three foot layer of French brie and told you to prove it wasn't, you would not be able to even though the assertion is ridiculous. The burden of proof is always on the head of the person making the positive assertion. I do know that in as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

Undoubtedly a supernatural power exists which transcends all human senses. Call this power by any name.People call him God. It is difficult for us to attempt to prove or disprove existence or non-existence of God. I will go by an elementary scientific principle. You must be aware of law of conservation of mass. This law states that mass can neither be created nor destroyed. There is no dispute about this law and is accepted by all universally. If so ask yourself a question how did this near infinite amounts of mass come in to existence- namely satellites, planets, stars, galaxies, nebula and milky way and so on. Please note that big-bang theory does not answer this question satisfactorily. Hence the conclusion there has to be some power responsible for all this creation that is there for us to see. That power we call God.

Very wise thinking. I don't want to prove or to disprove anything about this fact,.because I can't. Of course, I could start talking about how things were created , how a flower grows etc. but this would be only some words. I think what would prove something to you would be an inner experience of your consciousness. I think that only you can prove it to yourself if you really are seeking for the answer.

In response to your question: atheists can not prove that GOD doesn;t exist!....This Nation was Founded On The Proof & Beliefs Of GOD'S Existance For Many Years, compared to a hand full of atheists!......One Nation Under GOD With Liberty & Justice For All!......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....ps. atheists do not have a spiritual connection with GOD, because they don't believe GOD Exists! Therefore, HOW CAN THEY PROVE GOD'S NON-EXISTANCE Except from their own opinions, views, theology, phylosophies, etc. etc. etc.!......Science can Only go but so far!....

There are philosophical theological proofs of God's existence, but I don't know any to prove non-existence. Descartes tried to get to the most basic truth of human existence 'I think: therefore I am'. To me it is more basic that you can choose, so I think 'I think' is more a male's argument. God's Name as 'I AM' is so incredible and basic that I can't even think of how a person could prove God's non-existence, but then I guess the gift of Faith informs me. You could be the devil's advocate and try to make such arguments yourself, and it may even increase your faith, as questions are good to expand your mind. It is so easy to become 'blase' (accent missing) or take things for granted, so questions are good to open up your eyes even more.

I would never do that ! Here is evidence that He does exist. Hypothetically, if God never existed and we evolved, we'd be more intelligent and monkeys would b gone. Not 2 mention the fact that many theories about Christ dying were disproved. God bless u .

All you have to do is look at creation. It didn't happen with a big bang. Psalms 19: 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Remember that the Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to die for your sins. Believe and trust in that and you can spend eternity in the heavens when you die. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
