Something that reflects her hobbies, interests etc. If you feel like taking a chance you can get her something that she hasn't ever explored but that you think she might be interested in or perhaps something you are interested in and would like to share with her--for example a bird watching book. Mom's also often like family history books. Ones where they record the family tree and history in. There are several different ones available in book stores under genealogy. I've even bought them on Amazon.

Depends, what her interests are. Does she like romance, sci fi, horror etc. Maybe shes into quilting or gardening. Get her something she will enjoy.
