There were times when I felt like a sword was through my chest from heart to spine. Sometimes I started to cry without provocation. I had trouble sleeping. I plotted her death in at least a dozen different ways. (She's safe, don't worry.)
The most awful aspect of it all is that there was no one to talk to. I couldn't talk to her about how I felt about her cheating because she was no longer a trusted partner. I couldn't talk to my parents, parents, brothers, or friends because it was just too shaming.
The loneliness was so thick, heavy, and cloying that it felt like being buried under a pile of cold dirt.
Lastly, there's the finality of knowing that nothing will ever be the same again.

It feels like someone literally ripped your heart out. It is a physical and emotional pain that you feel in every fiber of your being and something that you never get over no matter how long ago it was or whether or not you are still with that person. Then that forlorn feeling turns into a bitter rage that can bring a man or woman to bring most dispicable pain towards someone else to make anyone in the world feel 1/2 the pain you felt.
No matter what you do to try to heal yourself, it's a pain that lives in you forever.

Mr. Chivalry says, "Graphic? OK. No personal experience, but as I have seen, being cheated on is like having open heart surgery without anesthesia. It's very devastating to know that the one whom you gave all of your love will betray you, or doesn't love you back as you believed."
Mr. Chivalry has spoken.

I begin to feel unattractive knowing I wasn't enough for the person I am/was with. It's a sh*tty feeling knowing someone can't be committed and honest. But now, if someone cheats on me, I get out of their life and move on knowing I am a good, strong, sexy lady.

It's so hurtful... You feel like sh*t and you don't know who you hate the most: your bf/gf or the person with whom he/she cheated on you? Sometimes you even feel like taking revenge. You don't trust your bf/gf anymore and have difficulties trusting new guys/girls.

It feels like someone has stabbed your heart with the sharpest knife they could find, and just ripped it into little pieces. Although it feels like you're dying, you're not, you're just suffering and bleeding to death! And then, you get pissed!!!
