I was watching HBO and saw a special called "Dealing Dogs" it was a typical story about a puppy mill.
Martin Creek Kennels in Little Rock Arkansas.
I only caught the last part, so didn't see if they had any other mills, breeders, brokers, etc. in there. But it was described as "situation of breeding/selling dogs to medical research". When you looked under info. on the t.v. description.

Maybe I can find more info. I found this online.
It's sad how long it took them to actually get this case solved. The man who owned and ran it was a PREACHER, along with his wife, and 2 daughters.

Yes, the Amish are well known for it, there are many States in which are very very bad for Puppy Mills, usually those who don't really have good laws for animals. Link for example: http://www.critterhaven.net/puppy_mills.htm

So. The Amish, who are very "religious", have tons of puppy mills. I think they are currently the worst. There seems to be nothing in the bible about breeding dog in inhumane conditions to fatten your wallet!!!!!!!
