The Hezbollah occupation of Lebanon is much the same as the Al Qaeda occupation was of Afghanistan. Hezbollah's military force is much more powerful than the Lebanese army and thus they have a great political impact on that country. The Lebanese government is too weak to stand against them, and they know that any attempt to do so would result in a coup d'état of their government by Hezbollah's forces as well as terror upon the Lebanese people.

I believe that, just as in Afghanistan, once Hezbollah's forces have been severely weakened that the Lebanese people will begin to take a more proactive approach in ousting Hezbollah from their country.

When a organisation as powerful as Hezbollah who have the capacity to outgun the own government and take control, theres little that the Lebanese people can do to regain that control over their own country. Its an unfortunate situation for the Lebanese people, they're caught in the crossfire between Israeli militia and Hezbollah rockets.

Because the citizens of Lebanon, and even their government, are not strong enough to oppose the Hezbolla terrorists. How many unarmed people do you think it takes to face down one trained terrorist armed with an assault rifle, a bomb, or an RPG?
