First...straighten your hair w/ a CHI. Use an oil based product (like biosilk, or oilsheen)
And then make sure you cover your hair. If you can, wrap it (with plastic, a bandana etc. b/c it's better at keeping moisture away from your hair than an umbrella) good luck.

If you can pull it off wear a cute headscarf for the damp, rainy days to protect your hair.
