Lol Wal-mart. Don't buy paint from Wal-mart. They're cheap for a reason. Go to Home Depot they have an awesome selection of paints and just about anything else you will need. They also know what they are talking about. People at Wal-mart aren't paid enough to care about knowing what they're talking about.

According to Consumer Reports, it is Behr at the Home Depot. American Traditions (sold by Lowes) did not have the coverage, durability or cleanability that the Behr did. WalMart brand used to rate really well in their tests, but they changed the formulation and according to Consumer's, the quality suffered. Other brands also rated well, Dunn Edwards, Benjamin Moore, Olympic, Dutch Boy and Sherwin Williams on the same catagories tested.

In my opinion Beher is the best paint, hands down. It still looks new on my out buildings and we have a pretty harsh climate here. It's been over 5 years since I painted them! I know Home Depot carries it , not sure about Lowes.

lowes has specialized paint for your needs. walmart will generally have shelf paint that you either like or don't like. they have mixers and such there onsite but the quality of paints are much better at a lowes or home depot. it's their business, in walmarts case it just adds to their bottom line.

I do not like Walmart paint.
I also did not car for Behr.
I have had good results with the American Tradition paint from Lowes.
I have also had good results from Matha Stewart interior paint at Sears/Kmart.

The best paints are Devoe or Sherwin-Williams brand and you should have a local dealer near you somewhere. You don't have to go to one of the big chain stores and, if you do, you definitely won't get the best paint.
