i am so confussed right now. i don't know if this is normal or just mega stress problems. i get really scared easily now and im too cautious. i've never been like this. when im on the computer, i constantly look behind me, thinking there is someone there. when im outside and i see someone i don't know, i dart the other way into my house. when im in my room(well, when i enter it) i stand against the wall and look everywhere in my room to make sure no one is there when i shut the door. even when i enter just any room! i always have to search through to make sure. it's getting pretty outa hand. what's wrong? same thing happens when someone is at the door, im scared and almost never open it. WHAT is WRONG?

Something is bugging you for sure. You are just acquired this phobia recently. May you saw a movie and got scared or come through with an incident where someone was back stabbed or killed to death. Since it is recent you better act quickly and get rid of it. Get to the source and try finding out what you are afraid of. Try convincing yourself that no one is around you when you are alone by saying it to yourself again and again. Also think of what you will do if someone was behind you. Try to avoid looking back or run away when you are scared and confront the fear. If the situation does not improve within a week. Get professional help. I think you can solve this by yourself.

OK there is nothing wrong with you. You are just very cautious about things you do not know like people or place you have never seen or been.
Now about when you go in your own room or house and you are scared it might be just you watch a lot of scarey movies or you have friends that like to tell you scarey storis just to se you jump

if you want to try to over come this than you will just have to put it in the back of your mind and tell your self that thre is know one in your room. and go in there and do what you have do. and not think if there is someone in your room bcause you do not want to live you life like this for the rest of your life.

I tell you this because i was like that when i was 13 and know i am ok to go in some room that i do not know. i meen somtims i do it but not like i did when i was 13

hope this helps you take care

Has something dramatic happened to you recently?? Because 17 years ago my brother commited suicide, and I was the same way you describe for over a year. And it was the worst feeling in the world, and I could not snap out of it. I don't know why I was so scared, and to this day, I don't know. But it is not a very good feeling, maybe you need to talk to someone.

Sounds like pure paranoia or some sort of phobia- almost like OCD- obsessive compulsive disorder.

I suffer from social anxiety disorder. I cannot go into an extremely crowded place, i can't ride buses, I cannot walk by strangers whatsoever.

But I was on medication for it and feel a lot better now. I have been off my medication for 2 years and doing just fine.

I would suggest going to see your doctor and tell him/her of your situation. They will decide what course of action to take.

You need to get to a doctor for help, this is a series of overreactions, and is definitely not "normal." You have either had a delayed reaction to something frightening from your past, or you are having some emotional difficulties; which can be caused by something as simple as a chemical imbalance and is very treatable. Please, make a doctors appointment as soon as possible; and get some help so that you can enjoy your life.

paranoia. i'm guessing a little higher level than normal people so i would go to the doctor and tell them about your case. relax, no ones out there to get you. lay off the scary movies for a while and dont go too many places alone. you'll soon enough get used to it, then start being alone and try not being scared when you're not with others

Do you smoke weed? If not maybe you should. If so maybe you should stop. What are you so scared of? Did something bad happen to you. I think you should see a doctor. That is no way to live.
