As a follow up to my last questions of ghosts being real. If people can be ghosts after death, what if a schizophrenic person became a ghost. would one personality take over.

I think it's possible I think ghost linger cause they mad or sad some extreme emotion or they feel they left something undone

Schizophrenia is not the same thing as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD), but yes, a disembodied person with MPD in life would likely remain in whatever personality was current at the time of death. This is a very interesting question actually. The personality eventually would die anyway, leaving only the spirit to survive, but I suppose for awhile the entity in question would be significantly confused either way.

Hmmm ....maybe you would get 10 ghosts for the price of 1 if a schizophrenic ghost haunted your house ....Only for you, only today, get a pirate, an egomaniacal despot, a horny housewive and a baby leprechaun to haunt your house ...ALL for the price of a single ghost !!!

I don't really know, but schizophrenia is a malady of the brain, and I don't think a ghost would have schizophrenia any more than a person would still have something like diabetes or asthma.

Schizophrenia is a disease of the mind not the spirit. Ghosts are spirits or energies therefore the schizophrenia would have no relevance to a ghost.

Nice follow up question.One to make you think....cool. Personally I think schizophrenia is a mind issue not a spiritual one,BUT....I'm still sittin here thinking so who would be the "real" Person that a schizophrenic was....hmmm.â¥

I seriously believe that all such disorders are cured after death. But schizophrenia is actually not multiple personality; see Wikipedia[1] on this.

NO! Because Schizophrenia is NOT a split personality! That was just someones theory and it was found out to be false. So Schizophrenia NO SPLIT PERSONALITY!!!

Wrong disorder...schizophrenics don't have multiple personalities...that's called MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder)...
