That would fall under laws such as neglect and abuse, endangerment. There is no specific law against locking your child in a car. Circumstances would be evaluated and charges filed as dictated.

Anyone who leaves any child, no matter how old they are, in a locked car, needs to be banned from ever reproducing again.

If not they should!!! Too many people these days leave children & animals unattended in a hot vehichle. It is hot outside in the shade, but some stupid people thinks it will be alright beause no one ever PLANS to stay gone long.
