drink a lot of water, fill up on low calorie veggies when you get hungry, get a hobby that distracts you from thoughts of food. Watching TV is not a hobby.

Despite what everyone will say about water, it is not the answer. Your body has evolved or a few million years, and do you think we'd still be alive if we didn't know the difference between thirst and hunger? You need to focus on the types of foods you are eating. The three macromolecules in food will also determine how long you feel full for.

Carbohydrates:
Sugars - Quick fuel, your body will digest these quickly and process them into fat quickly, thus you aren't very full after a 20oz Coke.
Fiber - Slow burning fuel, your body takes up to 3 hours to move this from your stomach to your intestine. If you drink water after you consume fiber, it will take even longer and fill you even more.
Proteins:
These burn a little slower than fiber, your body will again take about 3 hours to move them into the intestine
Fats:
Saturated fat, Partially Hydrogenated Oils & Trans fat - bad for you, avoid. Things like Oreo's have these.
Unsaturated fats - Good for you, found in things like peanut butter and nuts. These can take up to 4 hours to leave your stomach.

Now, I am not preaching low-carb here. I am preaching a well rounded diet, with an afternoon & evening snack. Try to eat smaller meals, but eat 5-6 times per day. You're body will not 'crave' food as it would if you eat only 3 times per day, so even though you are eating more meals, you are eating a combined total of the same or fewer calories (which I'm not sure if it's your goal or not, but I'll just throw it out there).

Also, caffeine has an odd side-effect of curing hunger. It is just one of the side-effects of the drug. The downside to that is caffeine uses a lot of water when it is metabolized, and makes your bladder contract, thus use the bathroom more often.

Nicotine has the ability to cure some hunger pangs, but we all know the cheapest way to get nicotine, and don't get me started on that drugs side-effects.

Stick to a balanced diet, and check out the book "The Abs Diet" for more. ($8)

Try taking a tablespoonful of olive oil 3 times a day, preferably before meals. Olive oil is high in monounsaturated fat, which raises your "good" cholesterol and lowers your "bad" cholesterol, but even better, it's a natural appetite suppressant. Another thing you can do is eat more fiber. Fiber fills you up, and it's also good for lowering your overall cholesterol. Finally, if you're not doing so already, do some type of exercise every day, even if it's only a 15-minute walk around the block. Good luck!

i have same problem... and currently (today is first day!) starting a new diet.. i know it sounds gross, but supposedly it's good for you and ur liver.... drink 2 tablespoons of Extra Light Olive oil (NOT VIRGIN!) an hour after substantial breakfast. eat whatever food u want.. eventually u will just eat smaller portions and u will feel full. i know 2 people who started 3 weeks ago and both have less of an appetite; one is very active and has lost 4 lbs, the other hasn't really lost weight but noticed appetite is decreased. :) olive oil is good for u and cleans out ur liver.. so at least it's not bad stuff. and ur not limiting what u eat. try to exercise, but u don't have to. only problem is that i had gag reflex swallowing it!! hopefully it goes away... bleh.

This worked for me. I was so impressed I became a distributor.
I've lost 8 lbs and I’ve only been taking it a month.
The girl who told me about it lost 24 in two months. It varies from person to person. i haven’t exercised or changed my eating.

your stomach shrinks and expands.
if you eat a lot it will expand to fit the food, which makes you feel hungry faster.
try eating many small meals instead of 2 or 3 large ones. your stomach will shrink and when you get hungry, you'll get full faster.
drinking lots of water at once will stretch your stomach as well. all in small portions to keep it shrunk.

Water- your body will often confuse thirst with hunger and cause you to eat when you are really only thirsty.
