yes some of them are wonderful.
its the same with men in general - some of them won't treat you right others will treat you like a princess.

If you are only after a forces man (and are in the UK) try typing in ebluey - you can then find a penpal in the forces who is currently serving away. Get to know them via emails/letters first and they will appreciate the mail. Then see where the relationship goes from there.

NO! They are not all the same, but they get tarred with the same brush. Some of them are ratbags, a lot aren't.

My forces man barely drinks, is really shy, completely hopeless at chatting women up and not at all arrogant - so not the stereotype! His mates through his sport are all really nice guys too, most of them in stable, happy relationships. I've also got friends in the forces from before I met the mister, and they are also lovely guys who are totally in love with their wives and treat them really well.

I do think that the lifestyle of moving around and not really having roots can cause their heart not to be in it and for them to be distant and treat someone badly if they're not in the right relationship though. And some of them are total arses to women, just as in other walks of life and just as some women are awful to men.

Why does it have to be a forces man by the way?! Concentrate on finding the right man, forces or not - believe me, the lifestyle isn't that great!

I am a 20yr old single woman living slap bang in the middle of a military camp in germany. I don't think forces men are that different to your avarage guy. Some men you will get on with, others you won't. Wether they are in the forces or not probably has little to do with it.

It takes time to find Mr right, be patient. There are nice blokes out there, i promise

I would say that if you are looking for love you should forget stereotypes and find someone that you "click" with. Someone who you instantly feel could be a friend, who you share interests/hobbies with and who you can trust. Someone who makes you laugh out loud is good! The Internet is not a great place for this sort of thing because you never really know who you are talking to. You really need to meet someone in person and get to know them properly over a long period of time, to make sure your first impressions are correct. Then, if you do find this special someone, you really should try and treat them as respectfully and carefully as possible, because a heart is a special and delicate thing and very easily hurt.

Read Boundaries by Henry Cloud. People can only treat you as poorly as you let them. You can't change people, only how much you expose yourself to them.

You must voice your expectations clearly. If they are not met, there is no excuse. For example, "I would feel great if you opened the car door for me." Or, as some people say on match.com, "I don't want to date a tight-wad."

Warren's book, Date or Soul Mate, says to make a list of 10 Must Have's and 10 Can't Stands. Kindess better be on your first list.

Good luck.

Not all men are bad. You cant really judge all men the same. All you can do is just watch before you date.
