if ruling on sins in bibel confuses you just use logic. i think religion is nothing more than a logic. deciding what is right and what is wrong.
lets say for example, helping a helpless person is good (religion does say that alos it is logical)
killing someone is wrong (from religious perspective and philosophical view).
even though i am a muslim and it is a gr8 sin to say religion is logic and nothing more....but most of the time to solve the problems i do use logic more than verses from Quran or any other place......

You should take everything you read in the bible with a grain of salt. Remember it was written long long ago by man not by god. These men wrote about rules that were belived in and acceptable way back then not today. Certain things in the bible that were said to be sins were only conciderd sins because of the lack of knowlege back when it was written. There are some truths in the bible and some contemporary messages of love and acceptance and all that you just have to dig through all the bramble to get to it. Just do what feels right for you. Seek spiritual enlghtenment on your own and don't listen to what other people are trying to force you to belive. You need to find the truth within yourself.

God is a righteous God, sin a long time ago is still sin today. Because of Adam we all became sinners. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: We know right from wrong by nature. The law was given to the Nation of Israel but we know the things contained in the law by nature. Romans 2: 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

God gave us an unchanging standard of what sin is.
The bible also chronicles rules established by the Jewish priesthood. These included a very specific list of things that are and are not acceptable to eat. Such rules were not God's commandments, but religious rules. Those rules served their purpose in ancient times.
Jesus set the record straight in the new testament when he said it is not what goes into your mouth that makes you unclean, but what comes out. He also repeatedly scolded the religious leaders for piling on religious rules that were impossible to follow.
The commandments were established as guidelines for people who did not understand the nature of God. Now, we have the Holy Spirit to guide us. The commandments never went away, but now Christians have the spirit of God in us, guiding us with the very principles that the commandments were built upon.
The commandments were never the road, they were the map. Now you have the Holy Spirit, which is more like GPS. And that's a better guide. But, it doesn't mean the map is now invalid

Well, while the scriptures were wirtten a long time ago, they reflect the unchanging human condition and our need for a savior. Modern and regional morals and practices are not universal while the Bible addresses the universal condition of man, which is as a fallen being, missing the full wholeness that was possible before sin entered our race and is possible to a lesser degree when we believe Jesus.

Sin is sin is sin. Is it any less a sin to murder someone today that it was 2000 years ago? Is it any less a sin to cheat on your spouse today that it was 3000 years ago? Some thing are right and others wrong and that does not change with time. There are absolutes in the world, such as the value of pi, the length of a day, the value of love, and importance of right and wrong. Time has nothing to do with it.

It was a long time ago, but sin is still sin. I'm not sure exactly what you r question is but I'll try to answer as best as I can. Are you referring to Mosaic Law and the dietary restrictions? The purpose of the Law was for mankind to see that we are unable to even approach perfection & that we need a Savior. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for our sin & as long as we believe He is who He said He was, then we are saved by grace. We still need to obey the 10 Commandments, but it's easier because we do that out of love rather than fear. It's like a relationship. If you're single, there's nothing wrong with going on a date. But if you're married, you wouldn't go on a date because of the love you feel for your spouse. Even if nothing would happen, you still take your spouse's feelings into consideration. You wouldn't tell your mom, "I'm going to McDonald's for Thanksgiving instead of your house". Not even if you prefer Big Macs to turkey. Not even if your mom is the worst cook in the world. Why? Because you love her and wouldn't want to hurt her feelings. That's the idea behind sin & salvation.

But the fact that it was said a long time ago doesn't
change anything.
Stealing is still stealing wheather it happened
2000 years ago or last week.
Same with the rest of the ten commandments.
Nothing confusing about it.
The difference is that if you accept jesus as your savior then your sins will be forgiven and not held against you when you die.

The tactics of the devil are the same so dont you think that sin has not essentially changed.
Devil to Eve :
Did God really say... (Ge 3:2)
Today also this is true. When I know that I have sinned, in my analysis it works this way, "Did not God say...";
Everytime we fall, we will be questioning a verse in our heart. If you realize that you sin and look back, you will find that you have taken a decision against the word of God
