You all are some nazi puritans. Kids 10 and 8 haven't reached puberty yet. Thus they don't have any strong sexual impulses.
In non-puritanical non-western countries, kids can often be found running around the village, playing in the rivers bare naked, and they are around the 5-12 age range.
Our body parts are not evil. Stop placing your adulterated world-view on children. If you think it's gross, I think it reflects on your dirty mind as an adult, and not the innocent minds of the children. Because the only way someone would find this to be 'sick' or 'gross' is to imagine sexual acts occuring in the shower between 10 and 8 year old kids. I find YOU disgusting if you are thinking this way.

In my opinon, yes, they are getting too old. In fact, probably at around 3 or 4 would be time to start allowing them privacy. My sister was abused for many years by our older brother. It started around the age of 9 or 10. You may want to talk to your sister and see if there is any type of inappropriate behaviour between the two of them. And she may not even know it's inappropriate. You may want to talk to your parents about your concerns.
That's great that you're so caring and concerned.
But do remember, some families are more open about things such as their bodies than others. So this could just be normal for their family. But I'm assuming it's not since you are their sibling and it seems abnormal to you.

Children are naturally curious and will find out things when older ppl are not around!! Once puberty hits I doubt they'll want to continue as they 'll be more shy of one another. Some one should keep a friendly eye on youngsters so as to avoid accidents in the bathroom anyway.

Most children become modest and sexually aware around age 5. Therefore, I think it is no longer appropriate for them to shower together. Do they BOTH want to or is one pressing the issue?

They are DEFINITELY too old to shower together. They are growing up and in the society we are living in they will start exploring very soon (especially the 10yr. old) I would put a stop to it immediately.
