Are there websites that can help with wedding planning?

I agree with the websites offered by others as a great start, however the best advice I can give is get a wedding planner. Even if you can't afford a "professional", get a trusted friend or family member to commit to this. They will know all of your expectations and they can carry them out for you. You will appreciate having this person be the go to for everything on the big day. That way you will be able to enjoy the occasion. Also make a list of everything you want and prioritize it according to importance. Once you figure your budget, then you will know the things that you want to splurge on and the things you can compromise on. Congratulations and Good Luck!

Don't trust websites. Some can help but most are filled with terrible advice from companies just trying to sell you something, or fellow clueless brides with no sense of propriety. Get an etiquette book from an established wedding etiquette person like Miss Manners.

Miss Manners on Weddings
The Everything Wedding Planning Book
etiquettehell.com=what NOT to do
and do a search for the online crane wedding etiquette blue book to do your invitations and such properly.

Get a wedding planner book. It should help you with all the steps. Set down and start with on thing at a time. Make a list. Like start atthe church. List everything you need. Cross off things that have been taken care of or is done. Make notes of things that can't be done untill closer till your date. Good luck and congrats.

The two best websites I've found are www.theknot.com and www.weddingchannel.com - because they have tons of checklists. Bridal magazines are also going to have a checklist too of the things that you should do.

The best advice I can give you is research. Research everything! Vendors, flowers, anything you want in your wedding, find out as much about it as possible. That way you'll be prepared for anything. Good luck and have fun!

Start by buying Bridal Magazines, then find out when the next Bridal Bazaar is coming to town, then decide what season you want the wedding in then pick your colors and start planning.

Make a list of all you need to do and start early. Also, good idea to know your budget for each item before you spend. If you are short on time, get help from those that are close to you - don't be afraid to delegate to someone you can trust.
Best wishes!
