Contact the lenders and let them know. Your school will probably have to send them verification. Don't assume they know, be proactive.

You usually just have to fill out a form and have the school verify that you are a student and your good. Your registrar or financial aid people should be able to help. But you must defer every semester from now on, the defferments only last a semester at a time.

Usually just by calling the issuer of your loans. My son is doing that as well. A piece of advice. Use the time your loan is deferred and keep paying it off. Any payments go right on the principle. Good luck

most schools send us enrollment information on their students at least every other month. usually this will keep your loans from going into repayment. However there is a catch, you have to be enrolled and maintain at least a half time status at your school. if you drop below this your school will notify nslds and your lenders and you will go into repayment. If you want to be super sure that you will have your loans deferred you can get a form from your lenders which your school will fill out, your lender will accept this as proof of your enrollment and will defer your loans.

It has always happened automatically for me. Anytime I enroll in school my loan payments stop coming and don't start again until I am not registered with a school for 6 months

You have to inform them that you are back in school and get a deferrment. You can probably just go to the financial aid office and have them help you. Good luck. Paying off loans suck... believe me I'm still paying mine.

you just need to provide your creditors proof of your enrollment. Usually the schools will notify them and they will send you a letter asking if you want your payments deferred or not.
