A furlough is defined as A leave of absence from prison granted to a prisoner. Which is temporary in nature.

I think what your looking for is a judicial release. http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42784

I don't know the specifics of your case so I can only point you to some places you can read up on Judaical releases.

Modification of the judicial release law http://www.sconet.state.oh.us/Communications_office/summaries/2004/0811/030464_030595.asp

Head over to http://www.drc.state.oh.us/web/parole.htm and take a llok at some of the contact information. You'll need to talk to these folks to arrange a furlow.

i do not know the laws of ohio, but you are probably going to need to contact the governor. they can do anything regarding an inmate's papers/release/furlow/etc.
