It all depends who your phone service is! Most companies don't charge anything but some do. Here is a link to some information on it:

I used to work for SBC now AT&T, *67 to block your phone number from appearing on the caller ID of the person you are calling is free. Same for *87 to unblock.

Don't believe me check out the phone book.

~~for most of the * features if you do not subscribe to the service you pay on a as you use it basis... it cost less though to subscribe to it than to use it just a few times. the best way to get the answer to your question though is to call your local phone company and see what they charge, as all phone companies don't always charge the same rates on special features.

i believe *67 is a freebee though~~

It's usually free. are you using from cell phone or home phone, on some cell phones u must change your network selection. But It is free to do from your home, So who are you trying to call secretly?? LOL! Oh and if there is a charge which there will not be it will be no more than a quarter!

If *67 is to find out who called you then it costs like 75 cents, but here it's *69 so I'm not sure.

First, you have to subscribe to the service. Your phone company may make it part of a package, but if you don't order it as part of your phone service, you don't have that feature. They don't charge by the call, but charge a monthly fee.
