Well I'm 31 and don't think I should be getting them either, but I am! Make sure you're getting lots of sleep and drinking lots of water. Also, using a face wash and cream with salicylic acid in it has helped a lot (Oxy and Boots' own brand). And don't fiddle with or squeeze them! Good luck!

Well, I'm 51 and I still get them! I have oily skin but cleanse regularly. Can't use too many of the fancy stuff suggested by previous people because I have very sensitive skin and the worst cleansers seem to be the expensive ones!
I use the Tea Tree and Peppermint range by Superdrug. Foaming face wash, Cleansing wipes and their spot-wand. They smell wonderful, too. If it works for you, please would you let Superdrug know - maybe they'll send me some freebies! (promise I'll share!).
Seriously, though, if you are producing too much oil in you body it needs to get out through the skin - and if the duct is blocked then a spot will result. A certain friend told me a few years ago that he went and asked the same thing of his doctor. He was told to not use any cleansing agents at all, as skin is self-cleansing. Clean water and a clean flannel - it will clear up your spots, apparently - but if you are one of these people that can use a moisturiser, not sure what it will do for prospective wrinkles! I guess you have a few choices! I can't use moisturisers, either - so I put up with the occasional spot and enjoy a relatively unwrinkled face for my age because I have oily skin. Guess you can't have everything in this life!

They are probably sunspots. Are you in the sun a lot, have sensitive skin, or use a tanning bed? If so this is called photo aging. You can have a microdermabrasion. It's skin renewal technique that will bring fresh skin to the surface, and reduce skin discoloration. Basically it strips your skin of all the old stuff. You can get this done at a dermatologist, or you can use a less effective version from Clinique (it works, but not as well as the doctor). You need to at least wear a SPF 15 at all times. No matter what your skin color is. Everyone should use sun protection. Even if the sun is not bright. You are still exposed to UV rays.

adults can still have acne
however adult acne can be much more persistant than when in your teens. If regular spot remover doesn't work check a dermatologist for medication. I used Roaccutane for a while (prescription only i'm afraid) for an acne problem on my upper back its been 3 years since and no more worries for me. Be warned these drugs can have serious side effects.

Try going on the Pill, Dianette can end problem skin brought on by hormone fluctuations. Also try a face mask of live natural youghurt, or use milk as a toner, leave on for an hour and rinse with cold water.
Keep skin clean, drink loads of water, and dont pick as it will scar the skin,
Try not to worry....it will clear up eventually. xxx

Going on the pill helps regulate hormones and therefore stops spots. Go to your doctor and ask to go onto the pill. Your spots will soon fade away.

i suggest that you go to see your gp hun as there may be an underlying problem for your acne, i started getting it when i was 18, but then i found out that i have polycystic ovaries, now its all sorted, theres tablets you can take to balance your hormones and also lotions that are good that wont dry out your skin. Good luck hun xx
