Funny enough, I work with numerical models & we always have a problem finite differencing on a spherical grid because the meridians converge on the North Pole, to get around the problem cheaply, we construct a false landmass at the north Pole so the ocean equations need not be solved ther. When we have school kid in for a peek at our science lab they invariably ask what that black spot is at the north Pole & i always say it's where santa lives, we're not allowed to show you there

Because the North Pole will always be cold & frozen, even if we have a shifting of the poles, the North Pole will still be frozen, Santa would just have to relocate.
I hope that Santa & his elves can sleep a little better now.

because people are more concerned with saving polar bears than saving christmas for some reason besides santa can move. the bears can't.
