Most certainly. Jews reached adulthood at marriage. Without a wife and family, he would have had no followers whatsoever!

As you can tell from reading this site- a lot of people would like to take Jesus down. The point being if such a theory was true- someone would have exposed it by now.
The church is an open door (don't non-believers hate it when believers invite them to church all the time) -- why would they be so open to invite if they were hiding things. Don't you think too someone coming to church and sincerely searching for God would discover this at some point.
Historically speaking even during Jesus' time there were those who tried to disprove him. Historians wrote about how this guy named Jesus came to the temple and disrupted things (ie: the gospels and Jesus encounters with the Pharisees). Historically accurate with the times!
The theory is completely unfounded and there is no evidence or proof and as you can tell by how heated this website someone is- if there is proof of any truth to this theory it would have been discovered and uncovered.
The theory also presupposes that all church-goers are evil (because why would you teach about values like love and honesty, while hiding a lie like that). i realize not everyone agrees with the church or Christianity but i think they've also known some sincere hearted loving Christians who love the truth.
Completely unfounded theory with no substance to support it...

I knew that da vinci movie was going to start a bunch of garbage. Sir, once you establish something as truth, what need do you have to continue to question it? We know that the Bible is God's word. We know that God is not a liar. The Bible gives no indication that Jesus was married. Would not his wives have been at his execution? The Bible makes no mention of this. Where was his wife while he was traveling around doing the preaching work? Was he hiding her somewhere? Technically speaking, if Jesus had gotten married, what law would he have been breaking? No one has any substantial proof that Jesus ever got married while he was on earth. Don't believe everything you hear, and don't take everything people say like it deserves your attention. Jesus Christ was the greatest man who ever lived. He led an exemplary life of unselfishness, while teaching and taking care of others. He does not in any way deserve the malicious comments and hints that many are alluding to in the world today. Why would you tear down someone who is trying to help you?

I think that it is very possable that Jesus had a wive, but I think that you are putting to much faith in the writings of Dan Brown.
Personally, I think that Jesus was a homosexual. He hung with twelve jolly guys,
and according to the Bible, knew no woman.
The Holy Bible is meant to be taken like a fable, a guidance story. If you take it seriously,
that is where all these rediculous debates come from.
To each thier own though, have a nice day.

It wouldnt bother me if Jesus was married but if He was I think it would only be one wife, more than that He wouldnt have time to do anything else I dont think. Could the "church" have covered it up? Possibly, but they didn't cover up the marriages of other big Bible people and even forgot to leave out that Mary and Joseph had normal marital relations after Jesus was born.... they just skip over that verse in teachings ;)

I practically continuously %. reality, till i'm feeling quite reckless. whilst i grew to become into youthful I picked Dare alot and ended up doing an excellent style of extremely extraordinary issues that embarrased me alot. (Like stripping down bare and dancing around my acquaintances outdoors at 3 in morning singing the nationwide anthem on the properly suited of my lungs. Then my acquaintances theory it would be humorous to lock the doorways so i could not come back in, so whilst buddies regarded out to make certain what grew to become into happening there i grew to become into in my skins!) Now I many times decide for reality to circumvent repeating incidents like that. I certainly have dangerously depraved acquaintances.

Even tho Jesus came here in the flesh, he was still 'perfect' and giving in to sins of the flesh was not on his agenda. This is a ridiculous notion, and I cannot believe there are people out there that actually give this a second thought, let alone any kind of credence!

Why not?
After all, "jesus" is a made up character in a book of fiction so who cares what some wacko's say is true or isn't true about him.
It's all fiction.
You may as well argue what color Frodo's hair was for all the good it will do...

You try so hard to belittle Jesus til you can't it! Deep down you know the truth, you just don't want anyone else to know that you do. You know Jesus wasn't married just like I do.
